This essay aims at analysing, on the basis of Severino’s work, the meaning of τέχνη as related to Nietzsche’s Wille zur Macht concept. The “thing”’s swinging between Being and Non-being characterizes each “worldly entity”’s Becoming. Each “living body”, in order to find self-affirmation, must comply to the same “logic”. Such affirmation’s logic can be applied to different orders of complexity: from “things” to “ideologies”, from a “physical body”’s behaviour to the “living form”. One might wonder whether such “logic” could apply to “artificial” life.

Abstract

This essay aims at analysing, on the basis of Severino’s work, the meaning of τέχνη as related to Nietzsche’s Wille zur Macht concept. The “thing”’s swinging between Being and Non-being characterizes each “worldly entity”’s Becoming. Each “living body”, in order to find self-affirmation, must comply to the same “logic”. Such affirmation’s logic can be applied to different orders of complexity: from “things” to “ideologies”, from a “physical body”’s behaviour to the “living form”. One might wonder whether such “logic” could apply to “artificial” life.
