Language Learning in Old Age is dedicated to the new public: the elderly, intended as people over 63 years of age. Once it has been shown that age is not an obstacle to successful language learning and that it can in fact give the elderly student cognitive, psychological, and social, benefits, it becomes necessary to find special educational proposals for this specific group of people, which are consistent in educational principles and methodologies to the cognitive and psychological characteristics of the elderly: this is the direction that our research intends to take.

Abstract

Language Learning in Old Age is dedicated to the new public: the elderly, intended as people over 63 years of age. Once it has been shown that age is not an obstacle to successful language learning and that it can in fact give the elderly student cognitive, psychological, and social, benefits, it becomes necessary to find special educational proposals for this specific group of people, which are consistent in educational principles and methodologies to the cognitive and psychological characteristics of the elderly: this is the direction that our research intends to take.
