My paper proposes a relationship between Evander's exile, presented by Carmenta in Book 1 of the Fasti in terms evidently recalling Ovid's exiled situation and Proteus' prophecy to Aristaeus in the 4 book of the Georgics. Perhaps it would be possible to suggest that Ovid's exile recalls Corenlius' Gallus' case and that revision of Fasti has some relation to the discussed retractatio of the Georgics and the issue of the Laudes Galli.
