The monography faces the Nationality Question in XIX Century's Hungary, by the point of view of magyarization within the National Hungarian Army (Honvedseg). The author analyzes the Heritage of national Revolution in 1848, showing the differences between the independent national Army of 1848-49 and the new Militia of 1868, which was originally supposed to be an auxiliary Force of Austria-Hungary's reorganized Habsburg Army. The occupation of Bosnia in 1878 is considered the turning point of the new Honvedseg: the deployment in Bosnia in a matter of fact was the first step of the former Hungarian Militia's gradual transformation into a fully integrated national Army.
