We analyze flared monopole antennas for 10 μm radiation energy harvesting. The figure of merit of the proposed antennas is evaluated by computing the field enhancement over a large bandwidth around 10 μm. In particular, we demonstrate that these radiators need to be designed by fully taking into account the dispersive nature of both conductors and loads. © 2010 EuMA.

Abstract
