Abstract
The battlefields, which are involuntary witnesses of human tragedies, are full of traces of life, gloom and death. In recent years, at Iuav University of Venice some courses aimed the architectural project to study some areas in Veneto, where famous First world war’s battles took place. The mission have been that the architectural design action itself may provide a useful tool for understanding the complex stratifi cation of the territory. The territorial areas where the projects are located have been determined by the Ecomuseo Grande Guerra of Veneto and selected according to specifi c issues, in order to generate some refl ections on specifi c design questions. The projects should be stimulated by many different ways, including the land shape, the choices on materials, the built forms, lighting, as well as the new architectural vision. Where, how, and with what features could be the questions that the project attempts to answer, imagining to build thin relationships with the complex stratifi cation of the landscape, where the new architectures are inspired by views, light and materials.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
