This work aims at analyzing the dialogic interaction between Italian native speaker opera tors and non native speaker users in institutional/bureaucratic settings. The specific aim is to reveal the communicative strategies adopted by the speakers that feature a double dissymmetric interaction pattern. The asymmetry comes from both the context (native/non native interactions) and the co-construction of the unequal encounter which will also be studied using dialogic syntax. This work will focus on foreigner talk phenomena and on the interactional dominance, computed by using the annotative system Pra.Ti.D. Results show that native and non-native talk and dissymmetric interaction occur to maintain and increase the distance between user and operator in respect of conversational power.
