In this contribution we propose the design of an interdisciplinary project named “Dark ages?”. It is based on Project Based Learning (PBL) and outdoor learning, in which Digital and manipulative tools, virtual and real experiences, in the classroom and in the real world, are intertwined. A formative and summative evaluation proposal is presented, and the first results analysed. Some results of a survey on how students experienced the project are also presented.
