Determiners, and more specifically the definite, indefinite and partitive articles, are a stumbling block for Italian-speaking learners of French. We show how students can take advantage of linguistic analysis to systematise and better assimilate the specific features of each of the two languages, such as the noncorrespondence of the use of the Italian definite article in an equivalent context, the divergences between grammars on the question of determination, and the particular uses of the variant de in French.

Abstract
Determiners, and more specifically the definite, indefinite and partitive articles, are a stumbling block for Italian-speaking learners of French. We show how students can take advantage of linguistic analysis to systematise and better assimilate the specific features of each of the two languages, such as the noncorrespondence of the use of the Italian definite article in an equivalent context, the divergences between grammars on the question of determination, and the particular uses of the variant de in French.File in questo prodotto:
