The CLimate portal for North-East Italy (CliNe, https://clima.arpa.veneto.it), developed through a collaboration between the regional environmental protection agencies (ARPA) of Friuli Venezia Giulia and Veneto, provides high-resolution climate projections for north-eastern Italy. The portal, updated in December 2024, includes 13 climate indicators for three future emission scenarios (RCP2.6, RCP4.5, RCP8.5), statistically downscaled using data from regional meteorological stations. While the indicators are aggregated at the seasonal level, they are still valuable for assessing future water availability at both regional and local scales. Two examples of CliNe applications are presented: 1. estimating changes in seasonal precipitation from 1991 to 2050 for the Tagliamento River Basin; 2. assessing the impact of climate change on irrigation requirements for spring–summer crops in the upper Friulian plain.
