High-power wireless power transfer (WPT) systems for mobile devices overcome the limitations of conventional low-power implementations in charging speed, efficiency, and user convenience. Higher transmission power shortens charging times to near wired fast-charging levels while preserving cable-free operation and enabling multi-device charging in diverse environments. However, maximum transferable power is constrained by receiver heating, which, upon reaching a temperature threshold tolerable to human touch, triggers power reduction and increases charging duration. This work presents a MagSafe-compatible charging system employing a reconfigurable coil architecture that minimizes losses across a wide load range, achieving wireless power delivery up to 50 W.

Abstract
High-power wireless power transfer (WPT) systems for mobile devices overcome the limitations of conventional low-power implementations in charging speed, efficiency, and user convenience. Higher transmission power shortens charging times to near wired fast-charging levels while preserving cable-free operation and enabling multi-device charging in diverse environments. However, maximum transferable power is constrained by receiver heating, which, upon reaching a temperature threshold tolerable to human touch, triggers power reduction and increases charging duration. This work presents a MagSafe-compatible charging system employing a reconfigurable coil architecture that minimizes losses across a wide load range, achieving wireless power delivery up to 50 W.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
