Verrucous epidermal nevus (VEN) represents the most frequent variant of noninflammatory “true” epidermal nevi with the onset usually at birth or within the first years of life. VEN presents as linear or whorled, closely set, skin-colored, brown, or gray-brown verrucous papules, often coalescing to form well-demarcated papillomatous plaques, which display a linear arrangement according to either Blaschko’s lines or tension lines. Dermatoscopic examination of VEN frequently shows brown circles, which consist of oval or round structures of variable size, characterized by a hyperchromic brown edge surrounding a hypochromic area. Other possible findings include fissures, keratin-filled crypts, comedo-like openings, milia-like cysts, cerebriform appearance, whitish scaling, brown globules, brown-grayish dots, papillomatous surface, and cobblestone appearance.

Abstract
Other possible findings include fissures, keratin-filled crypts, comedo-like openings, milia-like cysts, cerebriform appearance, whitish scaling, brown globules, brown-grayish dots, papillomatous surface, and cobblestone appearance.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
