Recovering the relation between built and open spaces, between architecture and nature, it is possible to propose an original interpretation key with which to address the issue of the regeneration of abandoned places. Taking the city of Udine as the context of investigation, the text aims to delve into the area located close to the railway that still divides the core of the city from the parceled out city that extends to define the agricultural shape of the Friulian landscape towards the south.
