In this paper we present our exploratory ideas about the integration of agent technology with other technologies to build specific e-tools for the disabled and for the new generation of senior citizens. In particular, we like to explore the benefits of the concept of situated intelligence to build intelligent artifacts that will enhance the autonomy of the target group during their daily life.
