Abstract
This paper deals with the conversions of "unfaithfuls" in the Venetian territories in the first quarter of 19th century; therefore, I widened the research when I started writing my volume "I nomi degli altri", that tackles the issue in the period of the Most Serene Republic of Venice. The first years of 19th century are indeed crucial for Venice: the first Austrian domination was followed by the Kingdom of Italy and then, since 1814 by the Austrian domination. Thanks to new and unpublished documents found in the archives of Pia Casa in Venice, it has been possible to consider this phenomenon within the new political and social context.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
