Summary Pd-CeO2 catalysts were prepared by solution combustion synthesis using different Pd salt precursors and glycine as fuel. Structural and redox properties were investigated and related to the catalytic activity towards CH4 combustion. The best performance has been obtained for the ex nitrate catalyst and attributed to a stronger metal-support interaction. Therefore, this synthesis has been optimized to prepare solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) anodes through an impregnation approach. These anodes showed higher performance than those prepared infiltrating Ce(NO3)3 and then Pd(NO3)2 solutions. The discussion focused on main factors controlling catalytic and electrode performances.

Abstract
The discussion focused on main factors controlling catalytic and electrode performances.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
