The paper analyzes the constitutional adjudication model in Austrian, starting from a framework of its historical genesis. Then follows a description of the most significant changes it has been subjected to and, therefore, of its current characteristics. The detailed analysis of the individual functions of the Court is followed, in the end, by some concluding remarks concerning the role the Court plays nowadays in the Austrian constitutional system.
