Il Rilievo Cartografico di Tell Mishrife (Siria Centrale) Con GPS e Fotocamere Non-metriche

The paper describes the aerial photogrammetric relief of the area where the historical city of Qatna, now Tell Mishrife in Central Syria, was situated, carried out to support the excavation and the documentation activities of an Italian-German-Syrian archaeological mission. The optimal integration between satellite positioning techniques and digital photogrammetry by way of nonmetric cameras, let to create a cartographic product having good precision, at minimal costs, in spite of the existing logistic conditions and the instrumentation actually available.
