After the miracle of Datius bishop of Miland, very few manuscripts of the Dialogi transmission has a dialogue between Gregory and the deacon Petrus, that was mentioned by Davis Yerkes in 1975 as he found it in 8 manuscripts of the work. The paper, basing on an extensive survey of the manuscript tradition, indicates other 8 new manuscripts. A philological, linguistic and textual analyse of the dialogue is given and the findings allow to consider it as an authentical part of the Gregorian Dialogi.
