International Purchasing Offices (IPOs) has attracted little attention from academics so far however we found that it is gaining increasing importance in the context of globalization and in the process of global sourcing of multinational companies. In this paper, we provide empirical findings on a few key themes on this topic and 6 sets of propositions for future test.
