Distribution and abundance in eastern Veneto and in Friuli Venezia Giulia of the alien species Acanalonia conica (Say) (Hemiptera, Acanaloniidae). In recent years numerous taxa of alien insects have settled in different regions of northern Italy. Sometimes they have taken on the status of invasive species. In this note data on the distribution and abundance of the Nearctic species Acanalonia conica (Say) (Hemiptera, Acanaloniidae) in north-eastern Italy are presented. The distribution of the observation sites indicates that the species has been able to colonize widely the Venetian-Friulian plains. The small number of individuals observed in the majority of sites suggests that the species might be under biological control, so at the moment it cannot labeled as invasive species.
