The participative approach ABC’Terre (attenuation of greenhouse gas emissions balance integrating soil carbon storage at the territory scale) tends to establish a plan of action in order to reduce the carbon footprint of the cropping systems of a territory. It has been already applied on 4 pilot territories in the frame of ABC’Terre 2A R&D project, finished in 2020. The results have been analyzed in each territory in terms of impacts, proposed scenarii and of stakeholder’s mobilization. In order to define strengths and weaknesses for future uses of the ABC’Terre approach, the drivers of the results have been highlighted thanks to a systematic analysis of the territorial context, of the stakeholders and the application of the method in each pilot territory. The diversity of each pilot territory helps to support a preliminary diversification of the uses of the approach.
