This article aims to describe linguistic interference between Saurian and Romance varieties, such as Friulian and Italian. Our main focus is lexical borrowing, specifically loan-words, and morphological integration phenomena, without neglecting the description of phonological and semantic integration, within the framework of Gusmani (1986, 1987). The examination of the Zahrer Wörterbuch/Dizionario saurano (Denison, Grassegger 2007) allowed us to analyze interference by taking into account stabilized and systematic forms and thus not considering casuals. In this paper, we will show that the degree of loanword acclimation correlates with the use of loanwords in Word Formation processes characterized by a high degree of productivity. Furthermore, we will observe that we can trace a cline of morphological integration of nominal loan-words, based on the grammatical processes used to form plural forms.
