Procrear Buenos Aires Social housing is a significant problem in the city of Buenos Aires, where obsolete practices are still in use when compared to the typical concepts of urban and territorial regeneration linked to the European context. The start-up of an international research project between the University of Udine and the University of Morón, in the form of a workshop as a design research tool, has made it possible to experiment new methodologies of doing architecture to try to pursue objectives of development and improvement of public regeneration processes in the Argentinean context, introducing concepts such as recycling, reuse, refunctionalisation and emphasising the importance of participatory processes in social housing practices. This experience made it possible to provide a concrete contribution to accelerate an improvement process involving all processes related to the design of public space, through sustainability practices and strategic visions.
