Il fenomeno della corruzione nelle Organizzazioni internazionali: esperienze europee e strumenti internazionali di contrasto

This contribution analyses the legal instruments adopted, both at the regional and at the international level, in order to combat corruption, with a focus on bribery of officials of international organizations. This work aims at putting specific attention on the importance of fighting corruption at the global level, and on the relevance of international organizations’ responses, as a means to enhance transparency within the organizations and external trust in the organizations’ work. To do so, after an analysis of regional and international instruments, it focuses on the case of the recent allegations of corruption within the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe and the response that this Institution has given to it.
