Public latrines are places of urbanity, hospitable objects, functional devices, social tools, pulviscular, diffuse, outposts that have become specters of a phantasmal history around the themes of the city (or its absence) marked by what remains of the history of these places. Last of the scraps, provoking a sense of repudiation that has never faded, a mocking remnant, what is everyone’s recounts miserable inequalities. But it is also, bizarrely, a story of commonality.
