Abstract
Public latrines are places of urbanity, hospitable objects, functional devices, social tools, pulviscular, diffuse, outposts that have become specters of a phantasmal history around the themes of the city (or its absence) marked by what remains of the history of these places. Last of the scraps, provoking a sense of repudiation that has never faded, a mocking remnant, what is everyone’s recounts miserable inequalities. But it is also, bizarrely, a story of commonality. It is one of the few places we all need at some point, and we are all vulnerable because there is often not enough of it. It is an undercurrent that brands a need. To bring urban project back to the center of public discourse.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
