Dinamiche sociolinguistiche in aree migratorie. Italiano e friulano in Argentina

Sociolinguistic dynamics in migrated areas. Italian and Friulian in Argentina · The paper aims to analyse the sociolinguistic dynamics of the friulian community in the town of Avellaneda and the city of La Plata, where a significant part of the population descended from migratory flows developed at different times from Italy and Friuli and sometimes can speak at some extent Italian and/ or Friulian. Through a sociolinguistic questionnaire sent to the members of the two communities, on the one hand the the linguistic repertoire in the two realities will be assessed, as well as the rate of vitality displayed by the codes. On the other the different vitality degrees will be related to those variables identified in literature and capable of influencing the rate of language shift in minority or migrant communities.
