This article analyses the problems of emigration and human relations in Bianca Zagolin’s second novel, Les Nomades, which portrays the love story between Philippe, a young Scottish lord, and Adalie, the young daughter of an Italian doctor. The failure of their love story evokes numerous references to the tragic universe of myth.
