We discuss some properties of barriers and minimal barriers in the sense of De Giorgi, for geometric evolutions of subsets Rn. We point out the rôle played by the regularizations Script M sign(black star)(E, ℱH), Script M sign(black star)(E, ℱH) in the comparison with others generalized geometric flows, and in the fattening phenomenon.
