This article presents the nosological tables from three military hospitals located in Udine, dating back to the first half of 1810, during the second Napoleonic occupation of Friuli. Such sources are extremely rare, at least until the early decades of the 19th century, and consequently, they have remained largely unexplored in historical demographic studies. The tables were compiled by the French military physician Tyrbas de Chamberet, who served in Udine between late 1809 and the early months of 1810. Following an overview of Tyrbas de Chamberet’s biography, with particular attention to his time in Friuli, we present a set of descriptive statistics derived from the tables, aimed at highlighting the potential of these sources for historical analysis.
