The study aims to examine the situation of the romance printed in the French language between 1470 and 1530 by taking into consideration the role of printers, booksellers and publishers in the definition of the internal articulations and the boundaries of the romance genre and in the transformations and innovations that lead to its evolution and in particular to its transition from a “Gothic” to a “Renaissance” configuration.
