In this article we propose a reasoned analysis of the structure of the municipal waste management system supply chain in Italy, which reconstructs the market shares of the different operators and the institutional regimes that relate the different phases of the supply chain to each other. What emerges is a picture of growing concentration and progressive greater openness to the market, which however re-quires an appropriate regulatory design in order to make the most of the benefits of competition.

Abstract
In this article we propose a reasoned analysis of the structure of the municipal waste management system supply chain in Italy, which reconstructs the market shares of the different operators and the institutional regimes that relate the different phases of the supply chain to each other. What emerges is a picture of growing concentration and progressive greater openness to the market, which however re-quires an appropriate regulatory design in order to make the most of the benefits of competition.File in questo prodotto:
