This paper presents a theoretical investigation of the effect of third-order dispersion on the propagation, stability and interactions of solitons in fiber optic transmission links and lasers. Results show the third order dispersion induces a relative shift of phase and group velocity between solitons and radiation, which has a major impact on the stability and interaction of solitons propagating near the zero-dispersion wavelength of optical fibers.

Abstract
This paper presents a theoretical investigation of the effect of third-order dispersion on the propagation, stability and interactions of solitons in fiber optic transmission links and lasers. Results show the third order dispersion induces a relative shift of phase and group velocity between solitons and radiation, which has a major impact on the stability and interaction of solitons propagating near the zero-dispersion wavelength of optical fibers.File in questo prodotto:
