The first CNN pincer osmium complexes [OsCl(CNN)P2] are extremely active and productive catalysts for both TH and HY of ketones (TOF ~ 106 h-1 and TON ~ 105). High enantioselectivity has been achieved with the chiral osmium derivatives at 0.005-0.002 mol %. The species [OsX(CNN)(dppb)] with X = H and OR are involved in catalytic TH and HY reactions.
