This paper presents a new method for generating a reduced-order model of a linear time-invariant SISO stable system. The simplification criterion is the integral of a linear combination of the transient term of the original system step response and of a suitable number of its derivatives. The reduction procedure is computationally simpler than similar procedures considered in the literature and leads to reduced-order models whose step response fits satisfactorily the original one.

Abstract
This paper presents a new method for generating a reduced-order model of a linear time-invariant SISO stable system. The simplification criterion is the integral of a linear combination of the transient term of the original system step response and of a suitable number of its derivatives. The reduction procedure is computationally simpler than similar procedures considered in the literature and leads to reduced-order models whose step response fits satisfactorily the original one.File in questo prodotto:
