The article illustrates the current problem of constructing a plausible stemma to correlate the traditional four groupings of manuscripts by questioning the function of a single passage in Synodal MS 591, the manuscript thought to represent the so-called complete redaction. Ultimately interpretable as a later textual interpolation, the passage in fact raises questions about the textual authority of the very version traditionally accepted as primary.

Abstract
The article illustrates the current problem of constructing a plausible stemma to correlate the traditional four groupings of manuscripts by questioning the function of a single passage in Synodal MS 591, the manuscript thought to represent the so-called complete redaction. Ultimately interpretable as a later textual interpolation, the passage in fact raises questions about the textual authority of the very version traditionally accepted as primary.File in questo prodotto:
