Exposure to television can produce effects in children that can sometimes be challenging and sometimes devastating and can trigger the onset of fears in children. The aim of this research, conducted on a sample of 417 children between 6 and 11 years, was to explore their own relationship with television and with their fears. The result is that 79,6% of children have or had at least one fear watching television and programs that are more frightening horror movies (47.3%) and action films (38.7%) but not to be underestimated those who are afraid of cartoons (11.6%) or advertising (2.7%). The fear is triggered mainly by the images (45.5%), sounds (30.0%) and characters (25.2%) and are the same children to suggest what aspects of action to no longer fear violence less (66.0%), no screams and fights (21.3%), less vulgar language (17.6%), more colors in the images (17.6%), more comprehensible language (10.3%) and sounds less fearful (5.5%). The most common reactions are changing channels (56.6%) or close their eyes (36.7%), but the presence of parents mostly dispels all fear.
