Associations of single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in promoters of specialized genes of lipid metabolism (Scd, Lep), myogenesis (Myod, Myf6), and board spectrum protein regulator gene (Opn) with porcine meat–fat productivity indices are analyzed. The revealed associations depend on the origin of the animals (are different in two and three breed crosses) and their sex. The greatest number of associations is observed between SNPs of the Opn gene promoter and backfat thickness and meat productivity indices. The data obtained indicate that the investigated SNP genotypes can be used for increasing the effectiveness of predicting the productive potential of animals with consideration of their origin and sex.

Abstract
Associations of single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in promoters of specialized genes of lipid metabolism (Scd, Lep), myogenesis (Myod, Myf6), and board spectrum protein regulator gene (Opn) with porcine meat–fat productivity indices are analyzed. The revealed associations depend on the origin of the animals (are different in two and three breed crosses) and their sex. The greatest number of associations is observed between SNPs of the Opn gene promoter and backfat thickness and meat productivity indices. The data obtained indicate that the investigated SNP genotypes can be used for increasing the effectiveness of predicting the productive potential of animals with consideration of their origin and sex.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
